In this newsletter we are sharing some more ideas for adding a selection of our delicious Happilyraw food products to make even more nutritious meals, snacks and smoothies for you and your family.

We have continued to add even more new products to our range including a whole category on Nuts & Seeds and another for Sprouting Seeds & Beans. For many of these new products, we have included some simple recipes to inspire you such as dips and nut-milk drinks, along with recommendations for recipe books and kitchen equipment. You can also read about what we have been up to recently and what we are up to next...

Simply click on any of the product names below to read more about them. Enjoy our newsletter and please send it on to your family and friends.

Spotlight on Nuts & Sprouting Seeds & Beans

We are now offering a fantastic range of carefully selected organic nuts, seeds and beans which compliment a natural and healthy, wholefood diet as they are all excellent sources of digestible protein, dietary fibre, minerals, vitamins and the essential fatty acids (EFA's), omegas 3, 6 and 9.

Almonds, Cashews, Brazils and Walnuts can all be integrated into sweet or savoury dishes. Simply sprinkle them over meals such as breakfasts, salads or vegetables, or eat them as a healthy snack. However, have you ever tried making nut milk? It is so easy and can open up a whole new world of tasty delights. Simply add one cup of nuts with two or three cups of water to a blender. Blend thoroughly, then strain through a nut bag to produce creamy, healthy nut milk. You can make delicious milk drinks or powerpacked smoothies by adding a range of superfoods such as acai berry, camu camu, mesquite, maca and cacao powders, Manuka honey and herb powders too. You can even make thick creams and delicious cashew nut ice cream too ... have a read of our ideas and suggestions for each of these nuts in the Food category of our website...

Sprouting seeds and beans are the most nutritious vegetables in the world and can be grown all year round. Sprouting your own seeds and beans will produce small but highly nutritious green shoots and leaves which are a great addition to any meal. They are rich in naturally occuring enzymes which help with the easy digestion and use of nutrients by the body. They are also rich in a wide variety of minerals such as calcium, iron and zinc; vitamin E and many of the B-vitamins. The Salad Sprouter (Plastic Tray) provides the complete kit necessary for sprouting your own seeds and beans at home on your windowsill in the kitchen. It comes with three shelves, a nutritional chart and some Alfalfa seeds to help you get started. The Sproutman's Sprout Chart is a field guide that provides you with everything that you need to know about growing and eating sprouts, at a glance. We offer a range of seeds and beans in our Food category and even some sprouting mixes offering a great variety in one packet...

At Happilyraw, we love to make tasty, nutritious dips using
pumpkin, sunflower and sesame seeds. Use a seed grinder to turn your seeds into a fine powder and then in a bowl, mix with the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon, a drop of aloe vera juice, flax or hemp oil, a pinch of sea salt and a teaspoon of your favourite supergreen powders. Then simply drizzle over your meal or make a thicker dip for crunchy carrot or cucumber sticks. Although not called a 'seed grinder', we can highly recommend the Krups Twin Blade Coffee Mill which we have been using for years to grind up our seeds (available at the bottom of our Books page).

It was an inspirational and fun evening, to meet with people and share education with those attending on how to discover easy ways to nourish the body, learning about natural lifestyle choices and how to add more varied and tasty nutrition to your diet. We enjoyed tasters of smoothies, raw chocolate and herbal teas together. We received some great feedback, with many people being inspired and encouraged and keen to share their experience with friends and family.

But it doesn't stop there as you may have seen from the events now listed on our Home Page. On the 24th October we will be in Glastonbury for 'An Afternoon with Happilyraw', sharing the resource developed for you, including an inspiring talk by our creator, Jenny, and giving you the opportunity to meet us, pick up free information leaflets and purchase from our special selection of products. There will be herbal teas to try and raw chocolates to enjoy whilst chatting. We would love to meet you.

Spotlight on Nutritious Foods

Here at Happilyraw, we offer a fantastic range of carefully selected foods to compliment a natural and healthy, wholefood diet.

Aloe Vera and Aloe Ferox Juice has been used for thousands of years for its healing properties. It is rich in naturally occuring enzymes, essential healthy sugars, iron and calcium. Aloe supports the immune system and soothes digestive function. You can take it in the morning or blend in with a fresh juice.

Organic, dried and sliced mushrooms provide a great source of vegetable protein. Simply rehydrate and add to rice, salad or vegetable dishes. Shelled hemp seeds are an excellent source of the essential fatty acids, omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 as well as a valuable, easily digestible protein. They can simply be sprinkled over food, added to desserts or smoothies and even whizzed up in the blender to make fresh hemp milk.

High quality, cold-pressed oil like Hemp Oil, can be used to create delicious desserts, added to smoothies or simply drizzled over salads. Organic Exra Virgin Coconut Oil is a healthy saturated fat, great as an alternative for butter or margarine and stable for use in cooking. It can help maintain a strong immune system and sustained energy levels. It is believed to support healthy intestinal flora, improve digestion and nutrient absorption due to its natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Udo's Choice Ultimate Oil is an expertly blended ratio source of omega's 3, 6 and 9.

Manuka Honey is made by the bees who feed on the flowers of the Manuka Bush (also known as the 'Tea Tree'). It is traditionally prized for its medicinal qualities, soothing deep rustic flavours and earthy aromas. We love to use Manuka Honey to sweeten drinks and smoothies. It is very tasty when combined with lemon and ginger in a warm drink, mmm! We only stock honey that has not been heat treated, so retaining the natural goodness of the hive.

Unrefined Coarse Ground Sea Salt is pure and natural, nutritionally intact and collected from source, just as 'Mother Nature' intended. It is an authentic, unrefined, pale grey, Celtic style salt with a more superior taste, which may be of benefit to your health. It is unrefined, unbleached and has not been processed in any way. It is more nutritious than table salt, retaining a full spectrum of trace minerals, essential for every function in your body in the proper balance. Did you know that we are all made up of a large percentage of sea water?? Black Salt is high in sulphur compounds that can aid detoxification and with a full mineral profile, it is delicious on meals of all types.

Happilyraw helps you to...

...reduce environmental waste by using these attractive glass straws which help turn smoothies and herbal drinks into even more fabulous drinks. A whole new taste sensation when you use a glass straw, replacing the toxic, plastic, non-recyclable straw. A great present for someone which can be bought with or without 'anti-roll' bumps and even a carrying case made from naturally grown bamboo.

...boost the nutrition of your home grown fruit and vegetables by enriching the soil with natural silica clay and natural soil revitalizer. Silicic acids are required by plants for optimum growth. This silica rich clay contains a full spectrum of minerals and a high silica content. The annual use of the soil revitalizer also supports the return of nutrient and mineral rich soils in which to grow your fruit and vegetables next year.

...support healthy hormones by using maca powder, coconut oil, some of our many herbs and herb powders, sea salt and cold-pressed oils, krill oil or vegan DHA and probiotics.
