Serra Enzymes

Enzymes are the spark of life itself and are vital for every metabolic, hormonal and digestive process in the body. It has been suggested that if our natural enzyme reserve is prematurely depleted due to the consumption of processed foods, lifestyle stresses and ill health, then every process in the body becomes less efficient, resulting in a diverse range of potential problems.

Certain types of enzymes have been studied extensively and are widely used in a variety of therapeutic circumstances. Serra Enzyme 80,000IU has been specifically designed for those who wish to take higher doses of serrapeptase. Serrapeptase is an enzyme which has been studied for its anti-inflammatory properties and may help to clear inflamed dead tissue.

Happilyraw Helpful Hints ...

Making delicious and nutritious nut milks ...

Nut milks are great alternative to dairy milk and are an excellent source of dietary fibre, digestible protein, B-vitamins, minerals such as iron and zinc, and essential fatty acids (EFA's), which are 'healthy good fats'.

To make your delicious nut milk, start by soaking a cup of organic nuts overnight such as almonds or brazil nuts. Then blend thoroughly in a pint of water and strain through a nut milk bag which catches the pulp leaving a pure white nut milk. Nut milk can be stored in the fridge and should be used within 3-4 days.

Use less water to make creamy smoothies and even less water to make delicious thick creams. Sweeten with Manuka Honey, a date or two, or Peruvian algarroba/lucuma powder and add superfood powders such as maca, green powders and cacao. For more information, click here.
